Is this a subscription?
No. You pay $19 once and the app is yours. Updates are free.
Does it connect to my bank?
No, and that's on purpose. You type in your balance and expenses (it takes seconds), so there are no bank passwords, no syncing errors and nothing to leak.
Where is my data stored?
Only on your device, inside the app. We don't have accounts or servers that hold your numbers. You can export a backup file anytime from Settings.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. Violet Budget runs in your phone's browser and you can add it to your home screen so it opens like a normal app. It also works on Mac, Windows and tablets, and keeps working without internet.
Can I use it on my phone and my computer?
Yes. Your data lives on each device separately, so to move it you export a backup on one device and restore it on the other — it takes a few seconds. Automatic syncing is on our list for a future update.
My income changes every month. Will it work for me?
Yes. Choose "It changes" as your pay schedule and tell Violet the date your money needs to last until. It spreads what you have across those days.
How do I get the app after buying?
